Ashvin Kumar (* 1973 in Calcutta ) is an Indian film director , film producer and screenwriter .

Career

Ashvin Kumar was born in Calcutta in 1973. Before he started working in the film business, he was responsible for the theater as a director. After moving in 2003, he made his directorial debut with the film Road to Ladakh , for which he worked as a producer and wrote the screenplay . His second film, Little Terrorist , earned him a nomination for Best Short Film at the 2005 Academy Awards . The award went to competitor Andrea Arnold with the contribution wasps . In the following years documentaries such as Inshallah, football , Inshallah, Kashmir and the short documentary film I am Not Here were published, in which Kumar worked as a director or producer or wrote the script or was responsible as a film editor .
