Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization

The Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization ( APSCO ) is an international space organization based in Beijing .

The signatory states currently include: Bangladesh , the People's Republic of China , Indonesia , Iran , Mongolia , Pakistan , Peru , Thailand and Turkey

The agreement to establish the APSCO was signed in Beijing in 2005.

Representatives from Argentina , Malaysia , the Philippines , Russia and Sri Lanka also attended the foundation ceremony.

The goals of the APSCO are:

  1. Promoting and strengthening joint space programs among their member states by creating a basis for cooperation in the peaceful use of space research and technology;
  2. Effective promotion of the Member States in the areas of research and development of space technology, applications and training through the elaboration and implementation of common development standards
  3. Promote cooperation, joint development and sharing of achievements between Member States in space technology and its applications and space exploration by unlocking the potential of the region.
  4. To improve cooperation between the relevant companies and institutions of the Member States and to promote the industrialization of space technology and its applications.
  5. Contribution to the peaceful uses of space in international cooperation in the field of space technology and its applications.
