Asia-Oceania Cup for national teams
The Asia-Oceania Cup for national teams (English AFC-OFC Challenge Cup) was an intercontinental football competition for national teams between the continental champions of Asia and Oceania, which was held only twice in 2001 and 2003. Participants for Asia were alternately the current winner of the Asian Cup or the winner of the Asian Football Games and for Oceania the current winner of the Oceania Cup . Intended by the Asian side as a replacement for the Afro-Asian Cup for national teams , it lost its authorization after the establishment of the King Fahd Cup or later FIFA Confederations Cup and will no longer be played.
