Asobo Studio SARL is a French video game development studio based in Bordeaux . The studio was founded in 2002 and has developed 23 video games since its inception, including video game adaptations of the Pixar films: Ratatouille , WALL-E , Oben, and Toy Story 3 .
history
A group of twelve video game developers bought the rights to the PlayStation 2 multiplayer game Super Farm and founded Asobo Studio. Their first game was released by Ignition Entertainment in 2003 . In the following years the studio developed a few more games. Asobo was commissioned by THQ to develop video game adaptations of the Pixar films Ratatouille , WALL-E and Oben .
During the Games Convention 2008, video game publisher Codemasters announced the game Fuel , developed by Asobo Studio. Fuel was released on June 5, 2009 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and July 5, 2009 for Windows. The studio worked on Kinect Rush: A Disney-Pixar Adventure for Xbox 360 Kinect from 2010 to 2012 . The game has a scanning process that allows the player to create their own Pixar avatar. There are characters from Ratatouille , The Incredibles , Cars , Above and Toy Story in the game. The game was released by Microsoft Studios and Disney Interactive Studios in March 2012.
Asobo Studio developed the console versions of Monopoly Family Fun Pack , Monopoly Plus , My Monopoly and Monopoly Deal . Asobo Studio has been working with Microsoft again since 2016 to develop two games for HoloLens: Fragments and Young Conker . Both games were available in a Developer Edition released on March 30, 2016. Asobo Studio won the 2016 French Video Game Creator Prize awarded by Syntec Numérique EY and SNJV. In 2017, Asobo announced Studio A Plague Tale: Innocence , released on May 14, 2019 by Focus Home Interactive for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
