Assafarge is a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Coimbra, it was merged with the Freguesia Antanhol to form the União das Freguesias de Assafarge e Antanhol in 2013 . As of June 30, 2011, there were 2,722 inhabitants in it.

On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Assafarge and Antanhol were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Assafarge e Antanhol . Assafarge is the seat of this newly formed community.
