União de Freguesias the Assafarge e Antanhol shortly Assafarge e Antanhol is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Coimbra in central Portugal .

5,302 inhabitants live in the municipality on an area of ​​19.52 km² (as of 2011 figures).

The municipality was created in the course of the territorial reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Assafarge and Antanhol . Assafarge became the seat of the municipality, the former municipal administration in Antanhol continued to exist as a citizens' office.
