The Assafjew Glacier ( Russian Ледник Асафьева Lednik Assafjewa ) is a glacier on the Alexander I Island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the west side of the Walton Mountains in a north-westerly direction to Schubert Inlet .
The USSR Academy of Sciences named the glacier in 1987 after the Russian composer Boris Assafjew (1884–1949).
