The Schubert Inlet is an ice-covered bay on the west coast of the West Antarctic Alexander Island between the Colbert Mountains and the Walton Mountains .
Aerial photographs of the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) were used by the British geographer Derek Searle from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey 1960 for mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the bay in 1961 after the Austrian composer Franz Schubert (1797–1828).
