Assinie-Mafia (sometimes just Assinie ) is a place and a sub-prefecture in the Ivory Coast , in the Adiaké department ( Sud-Comoé region in the Comoé district ), in the south of the country on the Atlantic Ocean .
The population is 16,721 people (2014 census). The seaside resort of Assinie-Mafia is a popular destination for tourists and wealthy Ivorians.
