Comoé (named after the Comoé River ) is a district of the Ivory Coast in the southeast of the country.

It borders in the north on Zanzan (with the Gontougou region ), in the east on the neighboring country Ghana ( Western Region ), in the south on the Atlantic Ocean , in the southwest on the Autonomous District of Abidjan and Lagunes (with the region La Mé ) and to the north of which at Lacs (with the regions Moronou and Iffou ). The district is divided into the regions Indénié-Djuablin and Sud-Comoé , the capital is Abengourou . Lagunes has existed since September 28, 2011, when the districts replaced the regions as the highest administrative unit. According to the 2014 census, the district has 1,203,052 people, resulting in a population density of 84.9 inhabitants per km².
