Zanzan is a district and a former administrative region of the Ivory Coast with the capital Bondoukou .

According to the 2014 census, Zanzan has 934,352 inhabitants and thus a population density of 25 inhabitants per km² over an area of 38,000 km². The last census in 1998 counted 701,005 inhabitants.
geography
Zanzan is located in the northeast of the Ivory Coast and borders in the south on Moyen-Comoé , in the southwest on N'zi-Comoé and in the west on Vallée du Bandama and Savanes . The district is divided into the regions of Bounkani and Gontougou .
