Aboisso is the capital of the Sud-Comoé region in the West African state of Ivory Coast ( Côte d'Ivoire ). The city's population is mainly composed of members of the Anyi Sanwi (ethnic group), this is part of the Akaner . The city was part of the Sanwi (Krindjabo) kingdom . Aboisso also served as a base and starting point after the expeditions of Marcel Treich-Laplènes in the Ivory Coast. Aboisso Airport is located in the city .
