Assis , officially Portuguese Município de Assis , is a city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo and was founded on July 1, 1905. The city is 22 ° 39 '42 "South 50 ° 24' 44" West. Assis is the seat of the "CIVAP - Consórcio Intermunicipal do Vale Paranapanema" (German inter-urban consortium of the Paranapanema valley ), an association of over 20 municipalities within the former mesoregion Assis.
