The Assumption School Bangkok ( Thai : โรงเรียน อัส สั ม ชั ญ ) is a Catholic private school in the District Bangrak , Bangkok .

The term "assumption" comes from theological theology and describes entering into the kingdom of heaven without having suffered death, such as ascension .

history

The Assumption School in Thailand was founded in 1885 by the missionary Father Emile Auguste Colombet , who wanted to help improve the lack of educational institutions in Siam . At first the school consisted of a simple wooden house. The first student was a certain Siew Meng Tek. Today numerous school facilities are linked to the assumption. More than 50,000 Thai students have successfully completed the Assumption school career.
