Astragalus austroaegaeus is a plant from the family of legumes (Fabaceae).
features
Astragalus austroaegaeus is a perennial rosette hemicryptophyte that reaches a height of 1 to 5 centimeters. The rhizome is branched. The leaves are 40 to 120 millimeters in size. The 25 to 33 leaflets are oblong-ovate . Their underside is densely covered with close-fitting to ascending hair, the upper side is only sparsely covered in hair. The stipules are partially fused. The grape stems are one to one and a half times as long as the leaves. The chalice is 12 to 13 millimeters in size. The teeth are 3/4 as long as the tube. The crown is yellowish and purple at the top. The flag is 15 to 22 millimeters in size. The pods are ovate-triangular, 8 to 10 millimeters in size, and covered with dense, semi-protruding, white hairs.
The flowering period extends from March to April.
Occurrence
The species occurs in the southeast Aegean . It grows in Phrygana and olive groves at altitudes from 0 to 600 meters.
