Astrid Ahnfelt

Astrid Ahnfelt (born March 31, 1876 in Stockholm , † 1962 ) was a Swedish writer .

Life

Ahnfelt was the daughter of the writer Arvid Ahnfelt and Hilda Runnerström. From the early 20th century she lived in Italy , studied in Naples , where she worked as a writer and gave expert lectures on Swedish fiction . Ahnfelt campaigned for the Swedish cultural exchange with Italy. She wrote her works in both Italian and Swedish. August Strindberg's novel Tjänstekvinnans son ( The Son of a Maid ) was translated into Italian by her; also Luigi Pirandello's opera Quando si è qualcuno

She worked as a nurse after the Messina earthquake in 1908 and during the First World War .
