Astrid Borgny Folstad (born May 31, 1932 in Oslo , † January 21, 2009 in Bærum ) was a Norwegian actress .

Life

Folstad graduated from 1953 to 1956 an acting training at the Statens teaterhøgskole in Oslo. She made her debut in 1955 at the Oslo National Theater , and was then from 1956 to 1959 at the Det Norske Teatret and from 1959 again at the National Theater. Folstad also appeared in several Norwegian films and television series, including Kristin Lavran's daughter .

From 1970 to 1986 she was a teacher at Statens teaterhøgskol . By her retirement in 2003 she had ninety performances in the theater.

Astrid Folstad was married to the Norwegian actor Knut Risan . She last lived in Høvik , near Bærum, until her death .
