Dag Kolstad

Dag E. Kolstad (* 5. May 1955 in Ski in Fylke Akershus , Norway) is a Norwegian author and comic book writer and editor . Kolstad also worked as a comic book writer under the pseudonym Dick Kolby '.

biography

Kolstad started working as an editor at Semic Nordisk Forlag in 1978. In 1981 he began working as an editor for the Norwegian edition of the comic magazine MAD and at the same time writing stories and storyboards as a comic author. He also worked as a comic writer on the Norwegian comic series focus and on the Norwegian comic series Python . He also founded the publishing company Norsk Strek AS in 1990 . Together with the comic author Terje Nordberg and the comic artist Arild Midthun, he developed and started the Norwegian comic series Truls og Trine , which was awarded the comic prize of the Kulturdepartementet in the same year .

Kolstad retired in 1995 after more than ten years as a writer and editor of the comic series Phyton to pursue other fields of activity. From 1997, the magazine Humorbladet Geek (Semic) started under his leadership as editor and he was also active again as an author. In 1998 Kolstad received the Raptus Prize ( Raptus-prisen ) for his work in Norwegian comics. As a comic writer in 2001, Koldstad wrote his own comic for the Norwegian Olsenbande Junior film series , which was continued in 2004 as a comic series similar to that of the Senior Olsenbande in Norway.In 2006, he was also the author of the comic book Kaptein Sabletanns verden (Käpt ' n Saber Tooth World) involved in the fictional pirate Captain Saber Tooth .
