The Astroh GmbH & Co. KG was a German retail company for furniture and furnishing accessories. The focus was on kitchens and electrical appliances .
The company was founded in 1926 and has remained family-owned. In 2007 the company had 21 branches in Germany, including in Delmenhorst , Bochum , Elmshorn , Schwelm and Senden . Ten of the branches were in North Rhine-Westphalia. It employed 750 people, 240 of them at the headquarters in Bochum.
The head office was in Harpener Feld in Bochum. The boss was the entrepreneur Andreas Astroh. He filed for bankruptcy on November 30, 2007 . Declines in sales were named as the reason. Also affected were around 2000 to 3000 customers nationwide, who had each made several thousand euros down payments for the kitchens they had ordered.
