The Astronomitscheski Jeschegodnik ( Russian Астрономический ежегодник , scientific transliteration Astronomičeskij ežegodnik ) is the official astronomical yearbook in Russia .

history

The Astronomitscheski Yeschegodnik has been published by the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1921 (for 1922) . It appears under ISSN  0373-3343 .

In 2004 an explanatory supplement was published , which explains the algorithms and theories used.

Since 2007, the yeschegodnik has contained not only the classic ephemeris but also ephemeris according to the International Celestial Reference System .

The yeschegodnik contains the ephemeris of the sun , moon , planets and fixed stars with maximum accuracy, in accordance with the specifications of the International Astronomical Union (IAU). The FK6 fundamental catalog was used to calculate the star locations , as well as the Hipparcos catalog if necessary .

It also contains information on numerous astronomical phenomena , for example the phases of the moon , planetary constellations and coverages , the rising and setting of the sun and moon, solar and lunar eclipses , Mercury and Venus transits , etc.
