Astrophilately

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Astrophilately is a branch of motif philately for space mail . This post can come from both manned and unmanned space flights.

The area covers postage stamps , postmarks and philatelic receipts. Examples of this are rocket mail from the 1930s and other space mail such as the Apollo program . There are real flown pieces, for example, from Apollo 15 and from the Space Shuttle Mission STS-8 . Connoisseurs distinguish between collections of motifs with reference to space and, in a narrower definition, astrophilatelic collectibles actually come from space flights, with or without a visual reference.

The Fédération Internationale de Philatélie has a commission for astrophilately.
