Asuna Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 明日 菜 , Tanaka Asuna ; born April 23, 1988 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese national soccer player .
Career
societies
Tanaka played from 2007 to 2008 for Tasaki Perule FC and from 2009 at INAC Kobe Leonessa in the Japanese first division. Since July 2013 she played in the Bundesliga at 1. FFC Frankfurt . In October 2014 she asked to terminate her contract for personal reasons. She then returned to Japan, to her former club INAC Kobe Leonessa, and received a contract until November 2015.
National team
Tanaka completed her first international match for the senior national team on March 4, 2011 against the selection of Finland . She played one of six games for Japan during the 2011 World Cup in Germany.
Tanaka was also a member of the 2012 Olympic team . But she was only in the starting line-up in the 0-0 win against South Africa's selection in the preliminary round. She was substituted on in three other games, including a. in the final, lost 1: 2 to the United States .
She was also nominated for the 2015 World Cup , but only used in one game, in the last group game against Ecuador , when coach Norio Sasaki spared some regular players. Even without her further participation, Japan then reached the final again, but lost it 2: 5 against the USA.
