Asunción Acosta
Asunción Acosta ( Asunción Acosta Galano; born May 10, 1954 in Frank País , Holguín Province ) is a former Cuban sprinter .
At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, she was eliminated over 400 m and in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run.
In 1973 she won silver over 200 m and 400 m at the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships , in 1974 at the Central America and Caribbean Games silver over 200 m and bronze over 400 m and in 1975 at the Pan American Games in Mexico City, bronze in the 4- by 400-meter relay .
She set her personal best over 400 m of 52.9 s in 1975.
