Atanasia Anghel

Atanasie Anghel (* in Bobâlna in the Hunedoara district , Transylvania ; † August 19, 1713 in Alba Iulia ) was a Romanian bishop in Transylvania.

Life

The son of a priest was ordained bishop on January 28, 1698 in Bucharest . During his tenure (1698-1713) and with his participation, the union of the Oriental Church of Transylvania with Rome was carried out.
