Sylvia Haider

Sylvia Haider (born December 1, 1959 in Linz ) is an Austrian actress and screenwriter .

education

Haider was born in Linz and grew up in Katsdorf . After studying German , philosophy , theater studies and art history in Vienna (later also in Hamburg), she began training as an actor at the Max Reinhardt Seminar .

Theater and film

She plays on stages in Berlin , Graz and Vienna . During her studies she took on her first leading roles in films by Axel Corti ( Dead spots , The young Freud ). The role of Tatort Commissioner Susi Kern , for which she received the Grimme Prize in 1993 , brought her great popularity . She then played from 1995 to 1998 alongside Despina Pajanou, Commissioner Eva Lorenz in the series Doppelter Einsatz . Together with Klausjürgen Wussow she starred in the television film "Juggler of Love" in 1999. Also represented in the crime genre are the films Böses Mädchen, Böses Mädchen by Dennis Satin and Sommernachtstod by Lars Montag , in which she works alongside Commissioner Anna Göllner alias Sonja Kirchberger acts. More TV thrillers followed in the series The Crimes of Dr. Capellari , the last witness and Wolff's territory . She had another movie role in 2005 in Hans Weingartner's The Fat Years Are Over . From 2000 to 2009 she was a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble and also wrote several scripts for television productions. She has been working as a freelance actress since 2009.
