Ataturk's address to Turkish youth ( Turkish Ataturk'ün Türk Gençliğine Hitabesi ) is part of a famous speech by the first President of Turkey , the founding father of the republic and national hero Mustafa Kemal Ataturk , on October 20, 1927 in Angora (Ankara). It marks the end of his more than 36-hour marathon speech " Nutuk ", which he held between October 15 and 20, 1927, before the representatives and delegates of the Republican People's Party ( Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi ).

In this address Ataturk addresses the generation of his time and the future younger generations of the country. He calls for vigilance in the face of the difficulties that the nation may face and reminds of the civil and patriotic duties of every citizen to protect freedoms against internal and external adversaries.
