Atelopus gracilis is a species of amphibian from the toad family(Bufonidae).
features
Atelopus gracilis is very similar to Atelopus flavescens . In Atelopus gracilis , the trunk of old females is three times as long as the head, that of old males two and a half times as long and the tibiotarsal joint extends a little over the eye when the hind leg is attached to the body. The body is deep brown in color and has red-brown longitudinal stripes. Sometimes there are also white vertical stripes from the eye to the soft.
Occurrence
The species is endemic to the island of Gorgona, which belongs to Colombia .

Darrel Frost , American Museum of Natural History , lists Atelopus gracilis in its online reference "Amphibian Species of the World" as a synonym for Atelopus elegans Boulenger , 1882, and refers to another synonym description by Rivero.
