style

Ans Progressive Rock is influenced by Genesis, King Crimson and Pink Floyd , but gets its own note from Christian Décamps' theatrical French singing, even if it moves a bit out of focus and space on Au-delà du délire compared to the previous albums leaves for many dark and bombastic arrangements. There are also stylistic elements of medieval music , hard rock and chanson . The lyrics are pervaded by biblical motifs.

reception

Au-delà du délire is considered a classic of French progressive rock. Christian Rode from Babyblauen Seiten praises the “successful blend of playfulness and gloom with beautiful melodies” and describes it as “an album that is well worth listening to, and very unique”. The eclipsed magazine included Au-delà du délire in its list of the 150 most important prog albums.
