Aubert (family)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Aubert family was the family of Pope Innocent VI. who held numerous dioceses in France during his reign (1352-1362). With the death of the Pope, the importance of his relatives quickly waned.

The Aubert were not noble themselves, but moved in the vicinity of the lower nobility of Pompadour in the Limousin . As early as 1220, they appeared as sponsors of the Chartreuse de Glandier.
