Poker career

Career

His first cash position at an official tournament scoring Day in 1973: In May 1973 he reached at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas at a tournament variant No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball the heads-up against Jack Straus . After around 20 hours of play, the two agreed on a draw, which meant that both players received their first bracelet . At the 1978 WSOP , Day prevailed in a No Limit Hold'em event and secured his second bracelet and a $ 42,600 prize money. In mid-May 1986 , he finished second in a WSOP event in No Limit Deuce to Seven Draw and received just under $ 90,000. Day's last cash placement to date was in January 2016.

Overall, Day has earned more than $ 200,000 in poker in live tournaments.
