Aubry I (Mâcon)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aubry I (lat .: Albericus ; † probably 943) was a count of Mâcon in the 10th century.

According to a list of counts from the cartular of the Saint-Vincent cathedral in Mâcon , Aubry came from Narbonne and married Attalane, the heir to the Vice Count Raculfi of Mâcon. After the death of Bishop Bernon of Mâcon in 936, he had appointed himself Count of Mâcon. Aubry was probably identical to the son of the same name of the Vice Count Mayeul of Narbonne († 911) and his wife Raymonde.

His sons, Count Liétald II of Mâcon and Humbert I of Salins , are named in two other documents from the same cartulary .

One of Aubry's daughters was probably Attala, who was married to Count Lambert von Chalon .
