The Audi Type A is the first car of Audi .

Audi Automobilwerke GmbH Zwickau brought the model out after changing its name from August Horch Automobilwerke GmbH in 1910. Production ran until 1912, making the vehicle the oldest known Audi passenger car.
A total of 140 vehicles were produced, and its launch price was 8,500 Reichsmarks. The successor Audi Type B came out as early as 1911 .
Technical specifications
The vehicle had a four-cylinder , four-stroke , in-line petrol engine . The engine with a capacity of 2612 cm³ was installed in the front of the vehicle. It developed 16.2 kW (22 hp). The engine had a bore of 80 mm and a stroke of 130 mm. It drove the rear wheels via a four-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft. It was available as a sports phaeton.
The maximum speed was given as 70 km / h. The weight of its chassis (without body structure) is 830 kg. The wheelbase was 2900 mm and the track width was 1300 mm front and rear.
