Milk processing
Ziger and butter used to be made on the Alp . In 1993 a 3.5 km long milk pipeline was laid to Riedern GL as part of a comprehensive renovation program . Since then, there has been no direct milk processing on Aueren, with the exception of the needs of the alpine staff.
