August Attenhofer
August Attenhofer (born August 8, 1828 in Zurzach ; † September 18, 1862 there ) was a Swiss portrait and church painter .
From 1842 to 1846 Attendorfer attended the district school in Zurzach, from April 25, 1847 he studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich . After completing his studies, he came home to Zurzach, and from 1853 he attended Johann von Schraudolph's painting school in Munich . Since then he has been engaged in portrait and church painting.
Attenhofer married in Zurzach in the spring of 1856 and died six years later of a lung disease at the age of 34.
