August Baumühlner (born January 18, 1967 ) is an Austrian football coach and former football player in the position of midfielder who temporarily played in the Austrian Bundesliga at Kremser SC , where he also scored a goal. Baumühlner is currently a trainer at SV Langenrohr in the Lower Austria regional league .

Career

August Baumühlner made his debut in 1989 in the game Kremser SC against the Wiener Sportclub , where he came on for Günter Grundner in the 81st minute. In his first season he was used three more times. In the following season he was only a supplementary player, but in the 1991/92 season he was used more often, this time from the beginning. His greatest success in the Bundesliga was the winning goal in the match against SK Rapid Wien , which he scored after 21 minutes. After three years in the top soccer league in Austria, Baumühlner moved to SV Stockerau , but he was only there for half a year. In January 1993 he moved on to the then 2nd national division club SV Langenrohr . With the team he made it to the Lower Austria regional league in his first season . He stayed in Langenrohr for eleven years, and in 2004 Baumühlner ended his playing career.

Trainer

August Baumühlner began his coaching activity in 1997, where he was supposed to replace the coach Gerald Sehrengel, who was on leave. During this one year activity he was still active as a football player. In 2001 he was used as a player coach alongside Ernst Leitner. When Leitner left after only half a year, Baumühlner took over the entire coaching position. In the summer of 2004, after he ended his playing career, Baumühlner moved to SV Haitzendorf . After four years he returned to his old place of work, the Kremser SC . After two very poor seasons, he moved to SV Langenrohr in 2010, where he is still a coach today.
