August Brauns
August Brauns (born July 28, 1874 in Lage ; † September 16, 1967 in Lemgo ) was a German politician ( SPD ).
Life
Brauns was the son of a tailor and also trained as a tailor. He worked as a tailor's apprentice until 1901 and was then from 1901 to 1909 a master tailor in Lage. Between 1909 and 1915 he was an employee of the Lippischer Konsumverein. In the First World War he was a soldier from 1915 to 1918 . After that he was initially a short-term tailor in Lage and then from 1919 to 1927 again an employee of the Lippischer Konsumverein in Lemgo or in Lage. Brauns was of Protestant denomination and was married.
Brauns belonged to the SPD and was a city councilor in Lemgo. In the state elections in Lippe in 1919 , he was elected to the Lippe state parliament, to which he belonged until 1925.
