August Desiderius Count Basselet de la Rosée
August Desiderius Count Basselet de la Rosée (born April 25, 1898 in Munich , Kingdom of Bavaria ; † March 1970 ibid., Free State of Bavaria ) was a monarchist and president of the Bavarian Homeland and Royal League after the Second World War.
Life
August Desiderius Basselet von La Rosée was the son of the merchant Joseph Desiderius Maria Count Basselet de la Rosée (1874–1918) and Barbara Freiberger (⚭ 1906). In 1923 he married Margarete Marx, with whom he had a son.
When the Bavarian monarchists began to regroup at the end of 1949, Rudolf Kanzler was elected provisionally appointed President, and Count Basselet his deputy. Since Chancellor was rejected by the former Bavarian ruling family of the Wittelsbachers , Count La Rosée was firmly elected on February 26, 1950 as chairman of the competing Bavarian Homeland and Royal League In Treue . Count La Rosée was until 1956 chairman of the Bavarian Homeland and Royal League, which was united from 1952.
