Georgia Taylor-Brown (born March 15, 1994 in Manchester ) is a British duathlete and triathlete who used to be active in cross-country skiing.

Career

In 2012 Georgia Taylor-Brown became Junior World Champion Duathlon and Junior European Triathlon Champion. Her father Darryl Taylor was also active as a track and field athlete.

In March 2013 she finished third with the British team at the Junior Cross Country World Championships in Poland. In June she was again junior European champion in triathlon and in December she also became cross-country junior European champion in team competition.

The years 2014 to 2016 were marked by injuries. In August 2017 she became the U23 European triathlon champion in Hungary. In 2018 she started in the British Triathlon Olympic Podium Potential Squad .
In the 2018 ITU World Championship racing series, the then 24-year-old finished third on September 15 after the last race (8th place) in Gold Coast (Australia) with one silver and two bronze medals.

At the Olympic test event in Tokyo in August 2019, Georgia Taylor-Brown ran as leader together and hand in hand with Jessica Learmonth across the finish line and the two were disqualified for an artificially created tie situation. As part of the 2019 World Cup racing series , she finished third after the last race on August 31 in Lausanne, as in the previous year.

She grew up in Manchester and later studied sports in Leeds , where she also lives.
