Jessica Learmonth (born April 18, 1988 in Leeds ) is a British triathlete . She is European Triathlon Champion (2017) and Vice-European Champion (2018).

Career

Jessica (Jess) Learmonth was active with the City Of Leeds Swimming Club and became a national swimming champion. She started her first triathlon in 2012 and became national champion on the triathlon sprint distance in August 2016.

In June 2017, Learmonth became European triathlon champion on the Olympic distance in Kitzbühel, Austria (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).

At the Commonwealth Games in Australia in 2018, the then 29-year-old finished second in April. In August she won the title of Vice European Champion in Glasgow.

At the Olympic test event in Tokyo in August 2019, Jessica Learmonth crossed the finish line as the leader together and hand in hand with Georgia Taylor-Brown and the two were disqualified for an artificially created tie situation.
