Ludowieka "Wieke" Victoria Hoogzaad (born June 29, 1970 in Dordrecht ) is a former Dutch triathlete . She is a European triathlon champion (1998) and a two-time Olympian (2000, 2004).

Career

Wieke Hoogzaad came to triathlon through her then partner in 1991. Her nickname is "Wiki de Viking".

In July 1998 in Velden am Wörther See she became European triathlon champion on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).

At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Australia she finished 25th. In 2001 she was fourth at the European Triathlon Championships. In November 2003 she won her first World Cup race in Australia.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, she finished 25th, just like four years earlier.

It has not appeared internationally since 2008.
