The British Triathlon Federation (BTF) is the official trade association for triathletes in the United Kingdom.

organization

The British Triathlon Federation (formerly British Triathlon Association , BTA) is divided into the Triathlon, Aquathlon and Duathlon divisions. It is an amalgamation of the three associations Triathlon England , Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon .

Former top athlete Sarah Springman CBE was president of the association from 2007 to 2012. Ian Howard TD has been the Association's President since December 2012.

Triathlon was held for the fourth time at the 2012 Summer Olympics and BTF won the first two medals in London : Alistair Brownlee gold and his younger brother Jonathan Brownlee bronze.
Four years later, at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , British athletes were able to achieve three of the six possible medals (Alistair Brownlee gold, Jonathan Brownlee silver and Vicky Holland bronze). In addition, the British Association won four medals in the first ever triathlon race at the Paralympics - and gold for Andrew Lewis .
