Jodie Lee Stimpson (born February 8, 1989 in Oldbury , West Midlands ) is a British triathlete . She is Junior World Champion Aquathlon of the Year 2006, U23 Vice World Champion of the Year 2008, British National Champion 2009 and winner of the British Triathlon Super Series 2010.

Career

In Great Britain, Jodie Stimpson represents Team Dillon (from Michelle Dillon ) and was a member of the British Olympic project Team 2012 .

Junior World Champion Aquathlon 2006

In August 2006 she became Junior World Champion Aquathlon in Lausanne.

In France, Stimpson starts as an international elite star in the triathlon for the Poissy Tri club in the Lyonnaise des Eaux club championship series .

On July 18, 2010, Stimpson won the gold medal in Paris, the only Lyonnaise triathlon she had participated in in 2010, and together with Erin Densham and Jodie Swallow secured their club the silver medal.

Team world champion triathlon 2011

In August 2011 she became team world champion in Lausanne in the British mixed team together with Helen Jenkins , Jonathan Brownlee and Alistair Brownlee .

In 2014 she won the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow .

In March 2016, she won the opening race of the 2016 Triathlon World Championship racing series in Abu Dhabi. In April 2016 Jodie Stimpson missed the team's internal qualification for the Olympic Games in Rio as runner-up in the third race of the World Triathlon Series in Cape Town . There were Helen Jenkins , Non Stanford and Vicky Holland , Gordon Benson and the brothers Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee in Brazil for Great Britain. In June she won the Bundesliga race in Düsseldorf for EJOT Team TV Buschhütten , where the German championship on the sprint distance was also held. In September she finished seventh in the 2016 annual ranking of the ITU World Championship on the short distance triathlon.

In September 2018 she finished seventh in the annual ranking of the ITU World Championship as the fourth-best British woman, behind Vicky Holland (1st place), Georgia Taylor-Brown (3rd place) and Jessica Learmonth (5th).
