organization

The distances for these races are 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running. This world series has been organized annually by the International Triathlon Union (ITU) since 1989 . In the 2013 season, seven races and the final in September were held in London.

Rating

In addition to the eight races of the world series, the other races of the ITU World Cup are also taken into account for the annual ranking of the world championship:
At the finals in London in September there were 1200 points for a win and at the other seven races of the world series there were 800 points for a win . In a normal ITU World Cup, however, there are only 300 points. Every further placement in these races receives a fixed number of points.

The best four results of the world series, the last final race and a maximum of two World Cup races were taken into account for the annual ranking.
