Aileen Reid
Aileen Morrison (* 15. June 1982 in Derry as Aileen Morrison ) is a former Irish triathlete and two-time Olympian (2012, 2016).
Career
In Ireland Reid started for the North West Triathlon Club . She trains in Lisburn and her coach is Chris Jones . In 2010, Morrison also took part in the French club championship series " Grand Prix de Triathlon ".
2012 Summer Olympics
She married in 2012 and has been called Aileen Reid ever since .
She was a member of the Senior High Performance Squad , the 2012 Olympics team, and in 2012 she took part alongside Gavin Noble for Ireland in the Summer Olympics in London , where she finished 43rd after a fall on her bike.
In the 2013 World Championship racing series , she finished second in the last race, in the “Grand Final”, and finished eighth in the annual ranking.
In June 2015 she was sixth at the European Games in Baku.
2016 Summer Olympics
Aileen Reid started at the 2016 Summer Olympics and finished 21st for Ireland on August 20th in Rio de Janeiro .
In July 2017, the then 35-year-old declared her active time over.
Reid holds a teaching degree (ProfGCE = Professional Graduate Certificate in Education ) for sport and should therefore work as a PE teacher .
