Erin Densham (born May 3, 1985 in Camden or Campbelltown , New South Wales ) is a former Australian triathlete . She is a participant in the Olympic Games (2008, 2012 and 2016), U23 world champion of 2006, elite Oceania champion of 2007 (triathlon) and 2015 (cross triathlon) and three-time winner of the Continental Cup in 2010.

Career

Erin Densham attended Rose Public School and John Therry Catholic High School and graduated as a trainer (Certificate III in Fitness) .

U23 world champion triathlon 2006

At the age of 16 she started triathlon and in 2006 Densham became the U23 world champion. In 2007 she became the Oceanic Triathlon Champion.

In 2009, Erin Densham was struggling with health problems. So she fell ill with Pfeiffer's gland disease , suffered from tachycardia attacks and in Des Moines (Hy-Vee) she had to be rescued from the water.

In 2010 Densham also competed in the French club championship series Lyonnaise des Eaux . At the opening triathlon in Dunkirk she was able to win silver on May 23, 2010, and as the best of the three triathlètes classants l'équipe, she helped her club Poissy Tri to a gold medal.

At the 2011 World Cross Triathlon Championship, she was sixth. In February 2015 she became Oceanic Cross-Triathlon Champion.

2012 Summer Olympics

She finished third at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

2016 Summer Olympics

Densham competed for Australia at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on August 20 - together with Emma Jackson and Emma Moffatt and she finished 12th.

She is trained by Jonathan Hall and lives in St Kilda , Victoria , Australia. Erin Densham has not appeared internationally since 2017.
