Hollie May Avil (born April 12, 1990 in Northampton ) is a former British triathlete .

Career

Hollie Avil was European Junior Champion and World Champion in 2007. In 2008 she started at the Olympic Games in Beijing, but could not finish the race. In the same year she was named "British Olympic Association Triathlete of the Year".

In September 2009 Hollie Avil was U23 triathlon world champion in Australia. She was trained by Michelle Dillon and Ben Bright .

In May 2012, the then 22-year-old declared her active career over after struggling with eating disorders.
