August Fleischmann (politician)
August Fleischmann (* 14. February 1826 in White Castle in Bavaria ; † 18th February 1887 ibid ) was a German jurist and politician in Bavaria.
Life
Fleischmann studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1845 he became a member of the Onoldia Corps . After completing his studies, he was Lord Mayor of his hometown Weißenburg from 1854 until his death in 1887.
From 1869 to 1886 Fleischmann was a member of the Chamber of Deputies (Bavaria) . Thus he belonged to the constituency Weißenburg i. Bay. eight state parliaments. He was a member of several committees. He was a member of the Bavarian Progress Party , from 1875 the United Liberals and from 1881 the National Liberal Party .
Fleischmann was of the Evangelical Lutheran faith . He died four days after his 61st birthday.
