August Friedrich Feigel

August Friedrich Feigel (born September 1, 1874 in Ansbach ; † in the 20th century ) was a German diplomat .

biography

After attending school, he studied law and joined the judicial and administrative service of the Kingdom of Bavaria as a trainee lawyer in 1897 . In 1898 he received his doctorate as Dr. iur. In 1901 he entered the diplomatic service , where he went through a consular career .

In 1911 he was appointed consul. Between 1913 and 1917 he was consul in Curitiba and after his return in 1917 initially worked in Department IV (communications department) of the Foreign Office and then in the department for Russia . In 1921 he became a lecturer in the Legation Council in the press department of the Foreign Office.

In 1926 it took to succeed Fritz Grobba his accreditation as ambassador to Afghanistan . He held this office until he was replaced by Leopold Baron von Plessen in 1929. Feigel was given temporary retirement in 1930 and retired in 1933.
