August Hoppe

August Hoppe (* 1918 ; † October 27, 1974 ) was a German writer and journalist . From 1948 he was editor (later deputy editor-in-chief) at Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne and agent (code names: "Manzel", "Rattay") of the secret service Organization Gehlen , later BND .
