August Jakob Heinrich Freiherr von Suckow (also Succov , Suckov ; * 17th century or 18th century; † March 12, 1740 in the Timisoara Fortress , Habsburg Monarchy ) was Feldzeugmeister , commanding general and military president of the provincial administration of the Temescher Banat .

His father was Heinrich Freiherr von Suckow from Kitzerow and his mother Modestia Freifrau von Metternich, the sister of the Prussian Minister of State Ernst von Metternich.

From 1738 to 1739 he was the fortress commander of Belgrade and from 1739 Feldzeugmeister.

On September 14, 1739 von Suckow was appointed commanding general of the Temescher Banat and at the same time took over the presidency of the military administration of the Banat Crown Domain. He held these two functions until his death on March 12, 1740. His burial took place on March 14, 1740 in the Elisabeth bastion of the Timisoara fortress, as the Jesuits refused the Calvinist a grave in consecrated earth.
